Bequests are specific gifts of money, property, or possessions left to a beneficiary in a will.
They can be general (e.g., a sum of money), specific (e.g., a named item), or demonstrative (e.g., a gift from a particular account).

Legal Reference:

Governed by the Wills Act 1837. Bequests are subject to availability and may lapse if not properly maintained in the estate.
