Enduring Power of Attorney

An Enduring Power of Attorney (EPA) is a legal document that appointed someone to manage a person’s financial affairs, continuing even after the person lost mental capacity.
EPAs made before 1 October 2007 remain valid but can no longer be created. They must be registered with the Office of the Public Guardian when the donor is losing or has lost capacity.
